TEN STEPS to TERRORORIFIC Halloween Party:

1. Save the Date!

Busy time of the year
Friday and Saturday are the most popular dates so get the word out
Decide on Adult or All-ages party

2. Pick a THEME

Spooky? Creepy? Wild? Mild?
Inspiration: Movies such as TWILIGHT, THE MUMMY, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Or create your own: “Rest in Peace”

3. Plan for INTERTACTIVE activities

Get your guests involved by creating “Make Your Own…” stations
Dress Up – have props and masks or make-up on hand
Pumpkin carving
Games

4. Create a FOCAL POINT and GATHERING SPOT

Select an area that can be cleared (blank slate)to become the main attraction
Rearrange things as necessary to create good flow and easy access

5. Build your COLLECTION

You don’t need to go “all out” the first time around. The most important thing is to be a good host or hostess!
It’s fun to add pieces to your collection and switch up the look from year to year.
Create groupings and themes by assembling collections!

6. RE-USE, RE-PURPOSE and Relax!

Use what you have: Black, White, Silver, Red, Orange are very versatile colors and work perfectly for Hallow’een
Borrow items from family or friends to round out the look

Look at things with a creative eye and transform them

7. Imaginative and Creative FOOD DISPLAYS

Rename foods
Use labels
Presentation: Multilevel, Textures, Props

8. STIMULATE the SENSES

Taste, touch, Sight, Sound, Smell should all be stimulated.
Round out your guest’s experience by using MUSIC, LIGHTING – including candles, FOG, and FABRIC to enhance the mood.
Sometimes what you can’t see is as important as what you can see.

9. KEEP SAFETY IN MIND

Dim lighting and unexpected distractions can cause accidents.
Careful placement of hot foods and candles with flames (away from fabric, etc.)
Make sure decorations are away from main walk spaces and traffic flow.

10. CANDY & SWEETS !!

What’s Halloween without Candy and Sweet Treats?!
Provide a box or special container for guests to take candy home
Variety! Chocolate is a must but be sure to have something for every age and sweet-tooth.

Skull Cupcakes
- It easy to create Skull Cupcakes. Vanilla Cupcakes, sliced section and covered with a marshmallow. Then spread vanilla frosting to shape up the face and finish with eyes made of M&Ms and slices of almonds!
Marshmallow Spiders
- Create marshmallow spiders with marshmallow chocolate covered cookes, chocolate twiztlers and chocolate cake filling! Finish the spiders eyes with M&Ms.
Witches Brew
- Mix a generous amount of lime sherbet, gingerale and lime aid into a container. Green and scary. It is the perfect non-alcoholic drink for children of all ages.
Vampire Blood
- Get ready for the ULTIMATE in Terror!!! Vamplires very own BLOODY signature drink. This signature drink combines Vampire Vodka, pomegranate , orange juice or juice of one blood orange, agave syrup and a splash of lime. Mix to taste.
Witches Brew
- Made with a mixture of lime sherbet, gingerale and lime aid. The perfect concoction to celebrate alcohol free. Excellent for all ages!
Moster Eyes
- Mix biscuit mixture, ground sausage, sharp cheddar into one inch round balls (eyes) and finish with a scary half slice of olive with pimento in the middle for the scariest Monster Eye you will ever SEE.
Sinister Salsa
- Simple but sinister, mix fresh avocado with garlic powder, black beans, dried tomatoes and freshly squeezed lime to spike it up! Serve with Blue Chips.
Mini Mummies
- Kids love these. Wrap cocktail mini cocktails franks or sausages with crescent pastry dough. Think like an egyptian and wrap the franks like mummies!!! Once cooked accent with two drops of mustard for the mummy eyes.
Ghostly Candy Bar
- Create a multi level display with clear containers, fill containers with a variety of candies for guests to create their own take home goodie bag.
